Picture (above) taken on 03/25/2000 just east of Johnson Village (near Buena Vista) at the
scenic overlook on the north side of the highway. You get a great view of the mountains
there - highly recommended stop. The Arkansas River Valley is surrounded by the Sangre de
Cristo and Collegiate Peaks Mountain Ranges complete with snowcapped 14,000 ft peaks.
Picture (above) taken on 03/19/2000 somewhere between Colorado Springs and Salida - I don't
remember exactly where. I think it may have been near Wilkerson Pass.
