Picture (above) taken on 03/20/2001 just north of Johnson Village (near Buena Vista) at the
scenic overlook on the north side of the highway. You get a great view of the mountains
there - highly recommended stop. The Arkansas River Valley is surrounded by the Sangre de
Cristo and Collegiate Peaks Mountain Ranges complete with snowcapped 14,000 ft peaks.
